Your learning is an ongoing process and not a one time event that needs to be completed before you even start your business.
Not Keeping Focus
At this point your eyes appear to be ‘glazed’ over and you are wondering if anything will work even though you have not tried ANYTHING yet! This is the common affect of information overload, too much can confuse and distract you.
Focus only on what it is that will help you get started in the field you have an interest in. Put your new knowledge into motion and be prepared to make adjustments as you go along. Do not expect to be able to figure it all out before you even start since online marketing is a very dynamic industry where change can be a daily occurrence.
Many online entrepreneurs will attest to the fact that marketing on the internet can be very rewarding but also presents potential ‘pitfalls’ to the newcomer. If you can get your site ranked high, the need for pay per click will be greatly diminished.

You could also use marketing affiliates to increase your traffic to your site. This is when you have people signed up under you to market the company or a product. Depending on the deal you worked out with them, you will pay them for each click or for actually making sales of your product or service.

In the ever-changing world of Internet marketing, you must adapt your marketing strategy as the web evolves. Or you won’t survive.
Today, users increasingly expect a multi-media experience that includes print, audio and video. Not only do they want to read your expert information, they also want to hear your voice and see your face as you deliver the information they crave.
By multiplying your methods of delivery, you are able to reach a wider range of people within your niche. Take, for instance, a typical fast food restaurant.
This expands their customer base because some people prefer to order, sit and eat while others prefer to pick up their food and go without even getting out of their car.
The good news is that creating a “drive-thru window” for your customers is easy to do with podcasting.
The term podcast comes from combining the words “iPod” and “broadcast.” But instead of broadcasting on the radio, you broadcast your message through Arguably, the best way for you to market your business is to have someone else do it for you for free, over and over and over again!
That’s when you’re chatting with a friend and they start to tell you all about this new ‘gizmo’ that they are using and how much they like it.
And because they like it so much they personally recommend you buy it too. In fact, they may even encourage you by telling you “you have to get it!”
This of course is every marketers dream because the referral comes with a built-in testimonial (product endorsement) from one personal friend to another and it doesn’t cost you a dime!
Often times, friends have a powerful influence over how we act, and even what we buy. Have you ever gone to see a movie at the recommendation of a friend? How about that restaurant they recommended?
We are naturally more inclined to do something if a friend tells us to because we know, like and trust their opinion. This is the power of word of mouth marketing.
Understanding this, the trick then becomes figuring out how to get one friend to virally pass your message along to their friends, who pass it along to their friends, and so on.
But before we discuss how to do this, first let’s take a look at what I like to call the ‘Goo-Tube’ phenomena.
Chances are, by now, you have heard about Google Video and Youtube. Well there is good reason for that. You see, Youtube.com is the 8th most visited site on the net today while Google is the 3rd.
This is good to know because both of these websites offer free video sharing services allowing you to tap into their massively trafficked sites – virally!
If you have been on the net for a few years you’ll remember how expensive it can be to host large files such as audio and video on your server. Even if your site got just a small amount of traffic to it that watched your video or listened to your audios you could expect a hefty bill in the mail from your web hosting company for ‘exceed bandwidth’. I don’t know about you but the term ‘bandwidth’ quickly became a bad word in my office.
But like always, especially on the Internet, times are quickly changing. Nope, no more.
Both Google Video and Youtube have graciously provided a central location for people like you and I to upload and host our videos for free for other people to view and PASS ALONG!
Ah, I love those words. Why? Because they equate to free, word-of-mouth marketing!
Do not underestimate the power behind this marketing strategy. Google certainly didn’t. In fact, in November 2006, Google bought Youtube (TIME magazine’s 2006 Invention of the Year) for 1.65 Billion in Google Stock!
Presently, both Google Video and Youtube.com remain separate web properties. But who knows what the future will bring.

Nowadays, available on websites, directories, B2B/B2C platforms, e-books, e-newspaper, yellow page, official data, accessible databases, vast and updated information online encourages more people to collect data from the Internet. Before data mining, you still need to be well prepared, as the ancient Chinese saying “Preparedness ensures success, unpreparedness spells failure.”
#1. Why do you want to collect intelligence or what’s your objective? What will you do with this intelligence after collection? Making a description of your project can help the data mining team have a better understanding of your aim. Taking an example, an objective can be I want to collect enough intelligence to determine a competitive price for my product.
#2. What type of information you need to collect to support your final analysis / decision? Such as, if you want to collect the prices of similar product, product specification are necessary to collect for comparison of the same one. The external factors like coupon, gifts or tax also need to be considered for accuracy.
#3. Where? General searching using keywords or gathering data from specific resources or database depends on project nature. The information from e-commerce websites would be a great avenue for price gathering and product specification.
#4. Who? Will you collect the data by using the resources of your own or outside resources? Outsourcing of online research work to lower wages countries with the accessibility of internet capabilities and vast English educated personnel like China would be an option for cutting cost.
